About Me

Before I covered the sport of Hockey, I played the sport from the mite level at age 6 through the Junior level at age 19. During my senior year of high school, I signed a contract with the New Jersey Renegades of the Eastern Hockey League to start my junior hockey career. Unfortunately, injuries are a part of sports, and a torn labrum in my shoulder forced me off the ice. I was committed to finding a way to stay involved in the game, so I started providing color commentary on the HockeyTV broadcasts for Renegades games to end the season.

Initially looking to study Health Science with a focus in Athletic Training I toured Franklin Pierce University that winter and learned about the possibility of calling hockey for a living. From that point on I was set on studying Sports Media and pursuing a career in Sports Broadcasting.

The summer before college I got a job with the local baseball team in my area the Trenton Thunder. At the time the AA affiliate of the New York Yankees. I was offered a position on both the promotions and productions teams but looking to have fun before school start I chose promotions. I worked on the promotions team for the 2018, 2019, and 2021 seasons before earning a promotion to become the Front Office Promotions Assistant, and On-Field Host for the 2022 season. The new role allowed me to learn the ways of a professional sports team front office in a much more hands on way, and to grow my skills in social media management, public speaking, and fan engagement.

While at Franklin Pierce I joined the Sports Broadcasting club Ravens Sports Network and took a job in the Athletic Communications Office as a Student Staff Writer. As a part of RSN I was able to build skills both on a microphone, and behind the scenes working cameras, audio equipment, and tri-casters. My job within the Athletic Communications Office continued to grow during my four years in Rindge eventually leading to me acting as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications for much of my Senior year.

Over my four years as a Raven, I called three conference championships including NCAA Division I NEWHA’s conference title match in 2022. A broadcast that won myself and the RSN crew a Student Emmy Award. The small size of Franklin Pierce also gave me the ability to be in the booth for over 150 field hockey, ice hockey, softball, and other sports games. All while being the lead staff writer and writing recaps for the Franklin Pierce Athletics website.

Following college I moved to Attleboro Massachusetts to work with one of the NAHL’s top organizations, the Northeast Generals. As the full time voice of the organization, I got the opportunity to create relationships with the players and their families and cover the games in a much more personable way. In December of 2022 I earned my USA Hockey Coaching certification and made my coaching debut with the Generals Academy 18u and 16u teams while at a showcase in Montreal, QC. I have now played, officiated, broadcasted, and coached hockey leaving me with one more job… driving the zamboni.

Before the end of the 2022-23 regular season I moved out of the Northeast and to Muskegon Michigan to join the Lumberjacks in the USHL. As the Director of Communications I provide play-by-play commentary for all Jacks games throughout the year, write press releases and game recaps, assist in social media content creation, and sell sponsorships around the rink and on the broadcast.
